LA-based, up-and-coming songwriter and rapper, Alto, has released a new jam, “Ocean Blue.”

Originally from South Korea, Alto first moved to New York when he was 16 to pursue both his education and his music career. Alto is a phenomenally gifted singer-songwriter and rapper with massive potential to go mainstream, yet, consistency seems to elude him. Those of us familiar with his craft hope this will change as we understand his true capabilities. We need more of such artists who have delivered back-to-back hits like “Fucked Up” and “Wasting My Time.”

His new track “Ocean Blue” is a breath of fresh air in the music industry and a project that highlights Alto’s boundless creativity and versatility both as a songwriter and performer.

Here, he does things differently; instead of the hard-hitting, seeming aggressive side to his sound, Alto takes a more laid-back approach, tapping into that alternative, smoked-out R&B sound while still integrating his quintessential rap style and exotic Korean influences to authenticate a song with broad appeal.

The beat arrangement is superb, and the performance, hypnotic. Alto transports listeners into his world, offering a memorable experience that resonates even after the song ends.

He proves that he is a competent singer just as he is a rapper; shrewdly blending in his South Korean roots with the lyrics to fashion a song that any listener can fall in love with.

When listening to this track, you are completely in the here and now, where you are not bored even for a second. This is due to the high quality of the music which is obviously made with love, dedication, and craftsmanship.

An authentic, top-drawer performance with universal appeal and openly vulnerable lyrics, feels like our Alto is back!

Someone needs to keep him on his toes on behalf of all his ardent fans who have been craving new music from him. We need more of this and even more because we know he’s more than capable!

As we hopefully await new bangers on the way, how about we scratch our music itch with a new single that is now streaming on all popular platforms!
