B.Thomas’s New Single, “Without Fiddle and Steel (It Ain’t Country Anymore),” Calls for Authentic Country Sounds

Norwegian country artist B.Thomas has released his latest single, “Without Fiddle and Steel (It Ain’t Country Anymore).” This bold, heartfelt song pays tribute to traditional country music values and has already earned over 5,000 Spotify streams in a short time. The track is catchy and deeply rooted in country tradition; it’s a clear message for a genre that some feel has drifted too far from its roots. It reminds us what makes country music truly real.

B.Thomas is a seasoned singer, songwriter, and entertainer. For years, he performed a popular Garth Brooks tribute show across Norway. Now, he’s sharing his own original music, which reflects his journey, his passion, and his thoughts on country music today.

“The radios today often play pop beats under the name of ‘country,’” B.Thomas explains. “But if there’s no fiddle and no steel guitar, how is that still country? That’s something I heard Garth Brooks and others say over the years, and it really stuck with me. That idea became the heart of this song.”

Dan Drilling produced the track in Nashville, working with a team of excellent session musicians. These included ACM-awarded steel guitarist Mike Johnson and fiddle player Joe Caverlee, along with other Nashville professionals. The song captures the authentic sound of classic country, even though B.Thomas recorded his vocals in Norway. This shows that you don’t need to live in Nashville or be signed to a major label to write meaningful lyrics and create genuine country sounds.

The song’s infectious melodies and rich instrumentation resonate with listeners who crave the true sound of country music. Thanks to strong support from music curators and placements on several top playlists, the track is gaining global attention. This momentum comes from B.Thomas’s genuine voice and his unwavering love for the genre.

“Without Fiddle and Steel (It Ain’t Country Anymore)” is available now on all major streaming platforms. Give it a listen, and rediscover the sound that first made you love country music.
