Oklahoma-based indie synth rock duo Blueprint Tokyo’s “Odysseus” feels like a stream of sonic consciousness that just hits you and refuses to let go!

Driving guitars, ragingly dreamy rock vocals, and head-banging drum beats, backed by electronic influences, encapsulate just the kind of artistry Oklahoma-based duo Blueprint Tokyo prides itself in. There is enough nostalgia to warrant golden age influence, but again, the duo has established itself with a sound distinctively theirs, fueled by real-life experiences, making it easy to resonate with. The innovative flair makes them stand out, but it is their relentless dedication to remaining authentic, raw, and energetic that perhaps ingratiates itself with new listeners looking for rock artists to tickle their fancy in a way that they have not experienced before!

Well, “Odysseus” is one of the most streamed tracks from Blueprint Tokyo’s 5-track EP “Blue.” For me, the track has this mysterious cloud hanging over it and the more it progresses, the more intense it feels, perhaps since it takes cues from mythological exploration.

The track’s distinctiveness can be felt right from the intro as the purposeful drums and guitars immediately lure a listener in, and as the song gains pace, its depth and intensity are underscored by the punchy drums and driving riffs that gurgle beneath as the lead vocalists sing self-assuredly backed by the agreeable backing vocals.

The haunting allure is there, and so is the dreamy atmosphere as Blueprint Tokyo captures the signature indie synth brand of their rock music with some electronic and synthetic elements that bounce off one another, contributing to the song’s overall success.

While the driving energy of rock is unmissable, there is still enough potency that makes “Odysseus” mark some territories in the pop realm; the whole moving melody creates this picturesque image that embodies pop-rock.

“Odysseus” is a haunting, mysterious, and dynamic character with an irresistible energy that leaves an indelible imprint in your mind.

After listening to severally, you will absolutely know how the music makes you feel—that’s just the beauty of it.

With that said, how about you surrender yourself to this masterpiece and let it transport you wherever?
