Brussels-based alternative rock band Buzzkickers deliver a melancholy-fueled performance with their latest single “Broken Love, Broken Wings”

A sonic tapestry of haunting allure, raw energy, and vulnerable lyrics make up Brussels, Belgium-based rock band Buzzkickers. This versatile band prides itself on blending the unconventional elements of alternative pop with the distinct energy of rock and punk, coming through with a tried and tested sound that is enchanting and deeply relatable seeing that it has been inspired by the very optics of daily life. Through the band’s shimmering concoction of driving riffs, captivating bass licks, punchy drums and soaring lead vocals where each and every member gets a chance to express themselves and contribute to the overall charm of the music, Buzzkickers deliver the kind of raw, unfiltered energy and vulnerability that makes you walk into a new day with a purpose.

For me, “Broken Love, Broken Wings” feels very poetic. It is the kind of song that really grows with you, getting more emotional and deep as it progresses. The production mirrors this exquisite build-up as Buzzkickers take you through the emotions, the powerful instrumentation equally matched by the powerful lyrics.

With the kind of touch-and-go delivery, the track features a bright oasis of awe-inspiring riffs with some striking guitar work on show, blended intriguingly with the purposeful drums and bass, setting the ideal backdrop for the self-assured and emotion-driven lead vocals that drive the melancholic message home.

“Broken Love, Broken Wings” follows the story of romantic betrayal, vividly painted through the lucid lyrics and haunting hooks that perfectly capture these sad emotions of someone who loved deeply but was left with a broken heart in the end.

The track captures the raw essence of betrayal in a relationship and Buzzkickers do well to paint it with poetic finesse, stretching the limits of rock in a way that is agreeable and one that inspires one to come back to the jam now and again.

“Broken Love, Broken Wings” has also been accompanied by some striking visuals and floating lyrics that are an extension of the music itself; the images and lyrics coming off as one and the same and allowing for such an attention-grabbing viewing and listening experience thanks to the visuals that reflect its soulful and melancholic essence.

With that said, it is such a pleasure to recommend to you this sonic pleasure…savor!
