FreshCells Foundation Prepares for Second Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Month, Promoting Hope and Community Unity

FreshCells Foundation, a non-profit initiative dedicated to raising awareness for sickle cell and other blood disorders, perhaps reminding us that not all heroes wear capes, has an important announcement to make regarding the Sickle Cell Awareness month of September. The foundation couldn’t be excited to announce their second annual “Walk for Cure” and blood drive as it continues in its tireless initiative of saving lives from this deadly yet criminally underlooked health condition.

Gracing the vibrant, Atlanta, Georgia, FreshCells Foundation not only hopes to raise awareness and fundraise for the research on sickle cell disease, but also interact with the community by impacting them with the knowledge about the disease and how blood donations can go a long way to saving lives.

For a long time, FreshCells Foundation has been built around the shatterproof ethos of compassion, understanding and using whatever resources available to come to the aid of those who need them the most and that is about to be amplified once this awareness walk and blood drive initiative kicks off in September.

The inestimable value the foundation places on lives is what they pride themselves on and they continue proving every day the lengths they are willing to go to ensure that the underprivileged members of the community grappling with this disease receive specialized treatment and personalized care whilst reminding them that their lives too matter, and that they are not alone in this.

Partnering with local communities and financial advisors, FreshCell Foundations also aims to step in and offer assistance to families struggling to take care of their loved ones who are battling the Sickle Cell disease. This comes in the form of covering medical expenses, offering guidance and counselling on the intricacies of caregiving and setting up workshops and valuable resources at the patients’ disposal to ease their burden whilst making more information about the disease easily accessible for everyone.

FreshCells Foundation will also be partnering with the red cross as they seek to reinforce local blood banks and encourage more and more people to donate blood and save lives as most sickle cell patients rely on regular blood transfusions for their treatment.

Unity of purpose; FreshCells Foundation sickle cell awareness walk as well as blood drive campaign is a selfless drive that seeks to unite the community and its needs, bringing everyone together under one unselfish act; – saving lives.

Ultimately, this is what unity, compassion, and understanding are all about—three cornerstones that the FreshCells Foundation has been built around.

Follow FreshCells Foundation on their official website, www.freshcellsfoundation.com, and see you in September as we save lives, one step at a time.
