Exploratory pop project Getaway Stranger is intentional and technically strategic with the jam “TRENT CRIMM”

What started as a graphic design project has morphed into this singularly ingenious musical work of art, Getaway Stranger, by the 20-year-old Calvin Square who now relishes in the liberating feeling of creating experimental alternative pop music, guided by accessible feelings and emotions of sadness, heartbreak, trauma, and loneliness to make the listener feel less alone as well as more optimistic bangers that lift the vibe in any setting. He is a musical maverick and his discography as well as the tremendous stream numbers he has amassed so far speak on his behalf. The beauty of music is that you can go as deep as you want and in the process, discover hidden gems…that’s sort of what Getaway Stranger has done.

“TRENT CRIMM” is a high-end production that pulls you into its deep, thumping, and haunting groove right from the opening notes. The thumping basslines, spacious synths, tight percussive beats, and driving groove enter with a punch, jumping at a listener with its haunting blend of rhythm and melody.

The haunting vocals that come off processed reverberate through the beats with an alluring effect, breathing life and creating this infectious cadence with the beats it feels like they are one and the same!

“TRENT CRIMM” is the kind of music that is cinematic, captivating, and haunting. The execution here is dexterous and leaves nothing to be desired as Getaway Stranger showcases such exemplary sound design at such a young age, taking a listener on this experiential journey from start to finish.

It almost feels like you are in a spaceship that is just ascending and all you have to do is buckle up and experience the ride!

This jam has already received a positive reception in such a short time and is a huge testament to Getaway Stranger’s unwavering dedication to reaching people through music and if possible, healing them and giving them something akin to sanctuary.

If you love your pop music unconventional, haunting, and unforgettable, “TRENT CRIMM” is the way to go…relish!
