Jeffrey Zargo hits all the right nostalgic feels with “Down In Flames”

Music has been Jeffrey Zargo’s way of life ever since he was a significantly young boy who could barely master the art of music creation, or make much sense of his favorite records at the time. His first recording was actually in 1979! His longevity is something to admire because not many artists in his era are releasing music today. What sets Jeffrey apart is him and his voice. He prides himself on coming from an authentic side of music where the quality of the lyrics and sound still stand for something, and as such, he does not create music for the sake of it. He is a pioneer and a visionary artist in his own right, and when it comes to his music, it feels like it was written specifically to be translated for this generation…and that’s because they were!

I am pretty young myself, but when the track “Down In Flames” started playing, it took me to a time, way before my existence, but I felt like I had been there. Before. Hitting a listener right in the nostalgia, the warmth this tune exudes is more than enough words can express.

At the track’s heart is an unforgettable chorus, a pure and refined execution that blends Jeffrey Zargo’s velvety and emotive vocals with the backing female harmonies, capturing the essence of reminiscence about the beauty of a place that once was.

Originally, “Down In Flames” was produced in early 1984 and the storyline music video features striking visuals inspired by 1946’s post World War Two movie “A Matter Of Life And Death.” The stunning synchronization of the war scenes and visuals and Zargo’s performance is ingenuity in the truest sense of the word.

I love a catchy and infectious song with deep emotional resonance and “Down In Flames” happens to be just that.

This is a sonic tour de force with replay value and one that showcases the incredible musicianship that Jeffrey brings to the music table.

Take some time, check out this fascinating song and its equally eye-catching music video, which have garnered almost 15K views in such a short time since its release. I can guarantee you that you will love every bit of this performance.
