Texas-based mega hip hop star Jmo delivers a deeply personal tale in his “My Life” single and music video.

After listening to some of his stuff so far, I am excited to report that I am completely entranced. Whatever Weco, Texas-based rapper Jmo is selling, I am absolutely buying. He’s got some dope sh*t…what they call clean, original, and real stuff in the streets. His music is a product of consistency, hard work, and that innate talent that allows him to transform real-life situations into melodies with near-universal appeal. He is a self-made star who started songwriting at 15 and recording at 16…experience ain’t a foreign concept to him!

Delving deep into the creative process, Jmo wanted the track “My Life” to be a projection of who he is; where he was born, his life experiences—the good, bad, and ugly and really his experiences from humble beginnings to being a successful artist who still has a lot to achieve. This is a peak into Jmo’s life!

I love the way his distinct voice effortlessly blends with the beats as he takes the listener with him, putting the audience right beside him as the story unfolds thanks to his tailored delivery and knack for the specifics.

His way to paint vivid pictures with words really is unparalleled and allows mental images to conjure up in the mind of its listener; allowing them to be heavily invested from the start all the way to the end.

He projects his painful experiences about losing his friend and his child, among many other things, with his signature flows and poignant lyrics that connect to their listeners on a deep emotional level, set to a haunting and melodic beat that has been expertly crafted.

The accompanying music video features some crisp, clean, and polished edits of his solo performance, with the emphasis given on that powerful and deeply emotional lyrical content!

What a performance, man…it has been on repeat ever since I first listened to it!
