Johnathan Whitehorn’s Exclusive Birthday EP “Brain Empty” is Now Available on All the Major Streaming Platforms

Johnathan Whitehorn was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, where he learned to play multiple instruments as well as sound engineering and music production. By fourth grade, he had already joined a band for the thrill of experimentation, and he thoroughly appreciated the experience and challenges that came with music. Johnathan Whitehorn’s eventually learned to play the flute before moving on to the piano and guitar/bass. Around the eighth grade, he dabbled in audio production, making improvisations on some popular and dope trap and hip-hop beats, and he kept honing his talents in music production by learning and practicing through YouTube lessons.

His music collection is wide, with genres ranging from jazz to pop, electronic hip-hop, indie punk, classic rock, and eventually hyper pop, all culminating into one staggeringly captivating, mind-blowing, and head-spinning sound that is emotional and thought-provoking!

His recently released evocative EP “Brain Empty” is a 5-track collection that addresses our humanity and nature; the differences that make us who we are, our brains’ various cognitive capacities to observe and process things. This has all been artfully wrapped into what is by far a satisfying listening experience!
“Converse was sold out of my size,” begins the exhilarating EP, which was inspired by a true experience but delves deeper into the melancholy realities of a long-distance relationship that is almost always doomed to fail. The emotionally-charged piano, powerful drums, and edgy bass support the resonant vocals, which are tinted with deep and piercing melancholy!

“I hate this” is a self-reprimanding hyper pop song that whisks a listener away to an introspective space with the melodic affluence at its heart – speaking directly to their brains to see clearly that maybe things are working out because they are solely responsible for them and not because of external factors!

“Can’t run for long” is an immersive listening experience that bursts at the listener with zeal, intensity, and earthiness! The anthemic percussive sounds at its core sweep a listener off their feet in breathtaking awe as it transports us to hypnotic distance with our inner emotions. This energetic music would be perfect for doing some insane dances with unrestrained abandon!

“Straight up (not)” is a deep digging and magnificent melodicism that serves as the foundation of the EP’s theme, in which we find ourselves delving deep into our thoughts to try and figure out why things are the way they are, only to get even more lost! Every stroke of the drum machines, backed by the piano, sub-bass, and the wide spectrum of instrumentation on show, evokes the hauntingly familiar thought, “maybe we don’t know what we know!”

The climactic track “Flying is Easy” closes the EP in instrumental style, providing a chill, colorful, and mystical insight between stark human moments and wild untamable energy, delivering a unique perspective that only Johnathan can bring!
This magnificent conundrum-painted euphonious work is now available on all major streaming platforms. Join the bandwagon and let the self-reflection begin!
