Budding UK-based songwriter Kendow’s album “Gonna Make U Mine” is a masterclass in dance pop and its varieties.

An outstanding album that consists of 18 tracks, spanning 1 hour and 14 minutes, “Gonna Make U Mine” is the perfect introduction to Kendow’s artistic vision and the best possible way for a music enthusiast to be acquainted with his work. The album, characterized by its infectious beats and reflective lyrics, is best positioned to earn him critical recognition from music fans. Critics have lauded Kendow’s ability to capture the essence of lived human experiences with impressive flair, making him a relatable figure for anyone who appreciates memorable and relatable music.

With each new release, Kendow consistently pushes the limits of his craft, showcasing an ongoing evolution as an artist. “Gonna Make U Mine” is a testament to his growth as a songwriter and his unwavering commitment to delivering music that resonates deeply. From the first jam all the way to the last one, he offers quite a transcending listening experience, reflecting his unparalleled sonic experience.

Here, you are spoilt for choice; there are so many ear candy from which to choose. As the album unfolds and progresses, it becomes clear the amount of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that went into it to ensure a cohesive collection was birthed—a true reflection of sound design achieved right.

The opener “Take a Chance” features an upbeat tempo, exuded by the bright concoction of dance pop rhythm and melodies, backed by the crystal clear and sweet-sounding female vocals that breathe life into the centerpiece. It speaks volumes about the production virtuosity of Kendow that he’s able to incorporate vocals that come off emotional, capturing the thematic essence of the tune with intimate allure. By the end of your listening experience, you will feel that this is a jam that was written from a place of both strength and vulnerability, making it undeniably relatable and still danceable.

Another bona fide standout is “Lioness of England,” a catchy and infectious tour de force and an ode to England’s Women Football Club. The stunning blend of colorful synths, organic components, driving percussion, and mellow guitar melodies creates something that is felt beyond the five senses. This is the ideal tribute to the indefatigable and resilient England’s Women Football Club; the ultimate pride of a nation.

“The Wild West” is another one that left a lasting impression on me in so many ways. I don’t know what Kendow did to make those beats come out so emotive and haunting, but he does, and that is all that matters. And with this track, there are so many elements that add to its broad range. There is a palpable disco and funk vibe, contributing to its irresistible nostalgia. The song is 5 minutes and 20 seconds long, but it does feel like it. That’s how you know you’ve just listened to something golden. I have to admit that I have played the track an awful lot of times, and each time, it actually feels better, making it a personal favorite from the album.

The popularly acclaimed “Summer’s Here Again” makes the cut and is one of those banging jams from the album. The blend of powerful melodies and rhythms jumps at a listener from the get-go as the equally powerful vocals give the melodies life. The deep-driving beats, striking synths and percussion, as well as earthy melodies with a discernable nostalgia inspired by the golden age of dance music, make this an irresistible masterpiece that inspires you to throw all caution to the wind and move with thoughtless abandon.

Like I said, you are spoilt for choice with this album. The best way to enjoy it is from the top all the way to the bottom and find the tracks that you dig the most to be part of your new favorite collection.
