Budding American songwriter and indie hip hop artist Knowlij’s debut single “Kites” features a simple acoustic structure and a memorable melody.

Knowlij has taken time to find and craft his ideal sound, both instrumentally and vocally, and is now at the beginning of what he hopes will be nothing short of a flourishing musical career. He comes through with a unique set of styles that will often be written in classical hip-hop form brushed with contemporary pop colors with that subtle dose of poetry and indie inflections to give a feeling of the unlimited possibility of a creative artist who wants to leave an indelible mark on the music scene with a dynamic style that has not been experienced before. What a way to get off with that ear worming debut masterpiece!

“Kites” is a collaboration with his fiancée Holly as the duo delivers an intimate performance that borrows from their own theme of love. Bar its undeniable, irresistible acoustic vibe, I feel that this tune really celebrates what can occur when two artists come together, recognizing what the other is worth…simply magical!

And at the end of the day, it really is two people making the music they wish existed. For both themselves and for us! “Kites” is that special thing that happens when two very different minds can come together to create something completely unique.

Knowlij comes through with some intricate bars delivered with near-flawless poetic craftsmanship as they trade verses beautifully with Holly, who embellishes the tune with her smooth, soft, and mellifluous vocals that are felt deep in a listener’s heart!

Delivered from both the couple’s perspectives, “Kites” mirrors that unconditional belief, support, and tremendous strength in each other to be able to overcome whatever setbacks may present themselves in their relationship. More than anything, this track is a celebration of the very institution that is marriage…there are ups and downs, but how you maneuver through each ultimately defines the fate of the relationship…only a little more effort is needed when things are not working!

It seems that this track has already left its mark on a number of listeners, with close to 5K Spotify streams garnered in the short period of time since its release.

While I am no prophet, I have a feeling you will love this profoundly touching duet that is raw, emotional, and really cathartic. Follow the attached link and add this masterpiece to your library!
