Maria Pellicano is not only an artist but the music flows through her veins; Through her artistic journey, she led worship within the church and performed at venues all around Melbourne, Australia as early as 14 years of age. She seeks not to only entertain through her music but to inspire and touch listeners’ hearts in ways only music can! She has used her musical gift to inspire both singers and speakers and has worked with many singers and artists through her singing school and sing-out, having been a singing teacher for over 30 years and having led over 5000 people to grow their own artistry.
She epitomizes that towering depth and mammoth heart and it is no surprise that she is also a motivational speaker who also wrote a book so that people all over the world get to see themselves through her and do better to reclaim the power within them and explore it to optimality.
Her latest song “Cover Me” is an inspiring tune that seeks to bridge and explore the gap between our current state and where we want to be, that pressure, that lack of confidence in ourselves, the despair, and those haunting residues of fear. The track gets off to the piano-dominant melody that is charming and gently whisks its listeners up and calmly takes them with it.
Her mellifluous vocals shine the brightest in this track and there is an intriguing turn at around 1:30 where the drums, piano, and percussion elements integrate into jamboree to delightful elegance that will hook a listener even more.
The outstandingly placed verses amidst the hopeful pre-chorus and chorus make this track powerful and enchanting. The highly expressive and delicate female vocal performance gives “Cover Me” its adorable and endearing quality. The utter graceful nature of the sweeping and emotional melodic selections guided by the piano provides an authentic harmonic and textural bed in which Maria’s vocals can elegantly float over.
