Feel the vibrations as music composer Matyascorvinus taps into the magic of nature with “Matyas II (2019 reissue)”

Matyascorvinus creates ambient, guitar-driven music. His dream has always been to tell his own stories without lyrics, which allows audiences to connect with the music on an emotional level. This journey began with just a simple love for music, and it has grown into something amazing that is more than guaranteed to stand the test of time. He has always ensured that every track he releases has a life of its own, and that’s what makes his music standout from what is being released in the mainstream today.

His compositions reveal that Matyascorvinus was born for the spotlight, and his multifaceted career is shaping up to be nothing short of iconic. He has an extraordinary way of projecting his inspirations through his music, both sonically and conceptually, and relating to his listeners’ emotions, and that is exactly the case with his 6-track masterpiece themed “Matyas II (2019 reissue).”

What you get here is a beautifully haunting exploration of emotion and sound that has been nature-tapped and transformed into melodies with near universal appeal. The music has been created in such a way that the listener is able to find their own relatability!

The opening track, for example, “A Winter Starling” features an opening sound tapped from the chirping of birds to what evokes the imagery of a cold summer morning setting with the birds perching on to dormant brown trees, with the outside seeming more brown than green.

The delightfully charming ukulele has been set to a consistent rhythm and chord progression that fits in with the track’s essence and narrative, offering a moment of healthy introspection for the listener. Through it all, this composition provides a serene beauty that’s hard to articulate

“A Sleeping Banshee” features a cinematic flow, and as you will soon realize, the melody emanating here is haunting and quite dark, reflecting Matyascorvinus’s inspiration when creating this track. Through that guitar picking, Matyascorvinus creates a howling presence that haunts its listener outside of this song.

“Mandragora” delivers a transcendental experience, captivating listeners with its hypnotic melody. There is quite an irresistible urge to listen to more and more of this performance that hits its listener right in the spot after just one listen, and now all you want to do is listen to that intoxicating picking over and over again. It is advisable not to listen to this track under the influence of any high-inducing drug because the effect can be colossal (lol!)…or maybe it’s advisable to (this is a personal choice anyway!).

“The Rayburn House” is a beautiful and addicting masterpiece with a resplendent and warm chord that is inviting and ingratiates itself openly with the listener. You can feel Matyascorvinus’ passion for the craft through his stunningly altered chord playing to achieve the desired output.

“Dark Ships” takes the listener to a water setting, with the guitar melody exuding a dark feel that is atmospheric and stunning. I love how Matyascorvinus is able to tap into natural waves to fashion such a theatrical tune that achieves what it sets out to do!

The final track, “A Lily Among Thorns,” presents an immersive and highly satisfying composition. Through the different notes and chords, Matyascorvinus highlights the cathartic quality of this tune, backed by its deep religious meaning of God always giving his best even when things around us look unsightly, ugly, and hopeless!

“Matyas II (2019 reissue)” is a sublime body of work that is guaranteed to bring serenity, beauty, and solace to a listener.
