Wisconsin-based artist and entrepreneur Mike Smoov combines hard-hitting punchlines with an unorthodox flow in his previous released single, “FriENDs”

Mike Smoov is an artist and entrepreneur based out of Madison, Wisconsin. He is the CEO and founder of Renaissant Records, a Wisconsin-based record label that partners with artists and producers to create soundtracks for a generation. While Mike prefers the business side of it, he sometimes gets in the studio and lays down his thoughts, as he did with his previous released single, “FriENDs”.

This raw masterpiece draws inspiration from personal experiences and emotions, capturing the raw feelings of anger, betrayal, and disappointment at his hometown friends. This track is an ode to his strength and unapologetic demeanor to move on from fake friends and focus on himself and his career; it’s perhaps more painful when it comes from folks you thought you were close to and vice versa.

The production here hits hard with a sawtooth bass that rattles the floor, signature hi-hats, snares, powerful 808s, and synths. On the mic, Mike maintains a strong presence, exuding confidence and charisma.

His no-holds-barred delivery is marked by rapid-fire flow, seamlessly transitioning from one verse to another. The energy he exudes is infectious, urging listeners to embrace their own hustle and determination.

The captivating hooks peppered throughout the track add that anthemic weight to this total banger, with Mike’s repetitive and forceful delivery setting the tone for the track. The gritty and relentless lyrical prowess shines through as he effortlessly navigates the beat.

Mike’s wordplay and intricate rhymes demonstrate a keen sense of craftsmanship that leaves a lasting impression on the listener.

“FriENDs” is a showcase of Mike’s versatility and limitless creativity as a songwriter and musician.

It is also a raw masterpiece worthy of inclusion on any hip-hop or rap playlist. The song is available on all major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube, Spotify, and Tidal. Follow the link below to stream and add this tune to your preferred playlist.
