Jamaican international producer Minto Play Da Riddim has teamed up with UK-based Afrobeats sensation Kid AlpHa on the new banger “Intoxicated”

Minto Play Da Riddim boasts an extensive catalog spanning an array of Caribbean-influenced sounds, including dancehall, hip-hop and rap, reggae and roots, and much more. He has worked with A-listers in the industry such as Skillibeng, Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Munga, and Charly Black, among many others. His expansive discography boasts millions of streams, and he has an average of 16,500 Spotify monthly listeners. Kid AlpHa has been hailed as the new voice in Afrobeats; this Lagos-born, UK-based artist has close to half a million Spotify monthly listeners and made global waves with his debut single, “Price Tag,” back in 2020, which properly introduced him into the music world and earned him widespread critical acclaim from both fans and critics.

These two heavyweights got into the studio, and “Intoxicated” is what was born—a raw masterpiece and masterclass in Afrobeats. This is the song of the year, with everyone bringing their A-game to ensure a listener is thoroughly fed.

Minto showcases that he is versatile and dynamic and can walk any line, meticulously producing this hypnotic beat with such gracious ease and the personality of an experienced star who is not afraid of pushing genre boundaries, delving into diverse musical territories.

With the beat perfectly laid out for him, Kid AlpHa wastes no time, bringing vibrancy to the standout lyrics with his expertly honed, mellifluous, and immensely expressive melodious vocals. The way he delivers the catchy lyrics makes this a contagious anthem that you want to sing along to all the way!

Another banger celebrating the good times with a loved one, “Intoxicated” is a club staple and radio-ready masterpiece to get you and your lover dancing with uninhibited joy as you sing along to the infectious hook like no one’s listening!

It’s just incredible how this is the first collaboration between these two icons; it feels like they have been working together forever, and such chemistry and connection are not always easy to ignite.

I believe many would agree I say that we deserve other projects from these two artists; they’ve ignited our appetite for great music, and we deserve to be fed more!

Streaming worldwide on all major platforms, “Intoxicated” is simply ‘that track’ that everyone is saying it is—a total banger!

Follow both Minto and Kid AlpHa on their Instagram handles for more exciting updates!
