Spanish-based band Mute’s single “Cambio de Estrategia” is the perfect mix of attitude, messaging, and sound!

Mute may be their name, but their sound is anything but silent.

Mute is a Spanish-based quartet that has been restoring the lost glory of organic rock and preserving its purity endearingly in their own dynamic ways. Like professionally trained kickboxers, Mute deliver an eclectic blend of rock with an artful brutality by eloquently dancing between words, sounds, and silence, intuitively and spontaneously landing each stage-ready guitar riff and self-assured vocals in a rhythmically spellbinding flow!

Mute’s astonishingly crafted rock melodies are a tapestry of cosmic exploration woven with the everyday realities of life. Like an impeccably lubricated dual-clutch transmission, Mute can just as effortlessly and swiftly shift from observational daily musings to mystic rumination, reflecting on past life events while mindfully introspecting on the present and contemplating the mysteries of the future.

Their latest masterpiece, “Cambio de Estrategia,” has already earned them an up-and-coming notice among the global rock scene thanks to that unmatched performance backed by a seemingly telling music video that was shot in Tokyo, Japan, by the band’s bassist.

The good thing about music is that you don’t have to understand it to enjoy it, and that is the case with this earworm tune…the only difference is that you will thoroughly enjoy the Spanish-spiced lyrics even if you have no clue whatsoever what in the world they mean. There is something about the Spanish language that feels sweet.  You and I both know it!

“Cambio de Estrategia” translates to “Change of Strategy”; beyond the arena-sized riffs, the pounding drums, the colorful bass, and the self-assured vocals is a deeply effective message of the need to keep on evolving despite adversity—the need to go beyond the knife blade of your past limits without much spectacle.

Complemented by a strikingly beautiful shot video of the moving images that showcase the indescribably beautiful city of Tokyo, Japan, this music video is the perfect supplement to this masterpiece both in storyline and symbolism: despite the adversities that have befallen such an impressive city, it continues to shine, glow, and dazzle with its mausoleum-like features that attract millions of global visitors every year!

Like I said, “Cambio de Estrategia” is the perfect blend of attitude, messaging, and sound!
