Fast-rising hip-hop commissioner from Atlanta, One Deuce, is direct, sharp, and uncompromising with his latest single “Ballroom”

As a young man growing up, One Deuce was shaped by the challenges and opportunities of the “Grit and Grind” Memphis City, the challenges he faced forging his own resilience, and the cultural diversity fueling his own creativity as an aspiring musician, actor, and spoken word artist. The people he grew up with and around fostered a deep sense of belonging and pride. As an artist who has thrown himself into the deep waters, ready to swim, his upbringing and experiences contribute to the kind of music he creates. Now based in Atlanta, One Deuce’s music is more than a style of hip-hop—it’s more of a movement that reflects cultural, social, and musical shifts. Since coming on, he has showcased a knack for his innate ability to innovate while staying authentic to hip-hop’s roots. As such, his artistry is a cornerstone of modern rap, and the way he has been releasing back-to-back hits means that he is a defining force in the evolution of hip-hop and deserves to be taken seriously.

Over a stunning backdrop of an 808 drum machine, some rapid hi-hats, crisp snares, and looming basslines, the catchy, infectious, and memorable hooks, “Marble floors, Crystal chandeliers,” resound with an unforgettable appeal as One Deuce immediately sets a captivating tone with his new single “Ballroom.”

After setting this anthemic tone from the word go and capturing your attention, One Deuce showcases his sharp lyricism, injecting the track with his own distinct cadence and fluent wordplay, with lyrics that pertain to the fruits of hard work, ambition, and strived-for success.

This is also a testament to One Deuce’s lyrical sharpness and authenticity, painting himself differently from everyone else around him with lyrics that have been designed architecturally.

His flows, delivery, and cadence are just impeccable—in sync with the beats, and he is still very vivid with his lucid and imaginable words that he paints so eloquently.

The music video accompanying this jam is one that captures the energy, inspiration, and essence of the song itself, its striking visuals very intentional and heightening the impact of the lyrics and melodies.

“Ballroom” is a perfect case study of why One Deuce is the hip-hop artist to watch out for. He’s the real deal, and his sharp-witted flows, inimitable yet instantly identifiable style, appeal to a massive number of hip-hop loyalists.
