Internationally acclaimed DJ and Producer Pat Premier’s career began almost casually when he made them college kids go gaga with his virtuosic skills on the decks, and as he went about his business of creating entertainment at those night and day parties, he was indeed demanding attention that led him to a professional path that has seen him grow over the years into a sought-after DJ and Producer who has been headlining events throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. He is also a household name down the east coast from NYC, Philly, Baltimore, and DC, where he DJs at local venues and nightclubs.
The weeks leading up to Christmas brought with them fond memories as his jam “I Just Want” received the attention of the pioneer Dave Audé who decided to make a remix off of it, and the result is one epic banger that I have been listening to on repeat.
“I Just Want” is just one of those effortlessly danceable anthems, and there is just something about the catchy and infectious progressive house melodies that make it hard to keep calm when listening to it. The sensational tech features have a certain spark that is reminiscent of 2010s tech house music.
There is that spirit, the vocal drops are just beautifully blended and sit nicely in the sound anatomy. The music video is a visual stunner, with all those eye-catching scenes of the undeniably euphoric and dancing people supporting the theme of the track sensationally. This is just the life of the party, with everyone moving with wild abandon to the coruscating melodies.
All you have to do is push the play button and relive within the catchy phrases, “I just wanna have fun
Clap my hands
Turn around now & dance dance dance”
In Nigeria we can say Pat is the ‘Asiwaju (Champion)’ of the dance front, and this remixed tuneful soundtrack is a highlight of that truth!
