Spokane-based hip-hop maestro PIVE returns with a self-inspired track “Make It Count”

PIVE is anything but average, and his journey can be likened to one from rags to riches. When he released his debut project, “I Will Forever Be,” not even he was prepared for the massive impact and buzz it went on to generate. That album marked a significant milestone in his career; it was just in its inception stages, and he more than leveraged on that humungous momentum it garnered. As we speak, he has gone on to release two more installments of the album, both of which have been received with popular acclaim and further elevated him to international acclaim. As a mature, effortlessly shrewd, and self-aware artist and rapper, PIVE delivers polished, meticulous wordplay with smooth cadence over powerful, luxurious beats as well as mellow, old-school-pepped nostalgic ones. His innate capacity to fit in any type of production is why he stands tall in a league of his own.

For PIVE’s diehard fans and indeed new listeners that were getting acquainted with his craft, the excitement is palpable following his newest release, “Make It Count,” an enchanting anthem with a contemporary beat and identifiable lyrics that contain his own vision for the future as much as his dominant run that has seen him deliver back-to-back hits, earning himself a name in the crowded hip-hop scene.

He raps with a real conviction, seamlessly blending thoughtful rhymes with self-praise verses and a clear outlook on his future, which he sees as flourishing. The captivating hooks at the track’s center make this an irresistible anthem that will keep on playing in your head long after its runtime.

With the sufficiently laid-out beat, it is like PIVE teleports you into his world, where you get to see his past and share in his visionary future. This way, it feels like you are right there beside him as the story unfolds. This is not what can be said of so many rap artists out there, making PIVE the real deal when it comes to authentic rap.

The icing on top is that spotlight-stealing music video that has been laden with cinematically pleasing visuals with lively scenes that bond well with the track’s overall theme.
