Dance as you think; Plastic Tofu rocks your senses with the captivating and introspective “Dog Tired”.

Who doesn’t want to live young forever? No one, that’s what I thought! And who said punk rock was dead? If you were the one, you probably hadn’t met Plastic Tofu, because then you would instantly change your mind. This Chicago-based rock band has been preserving the purity of punk rock in the best way they know how and earning critical and widespread acclaim for transforming real-life stories into melodies with universal appeal. Merging the nostalgia of the golden age of punk with the thematic essence of real life, Plastic Tofu charts the uncharted and taps into common human experiences with innate charisma. Well, the flex is real—they might just be better than your favorite rock bands!

And since we have established that everyone wants to live young forever, it really hurts like hell to grow old and realize that you have not achieved half of what you intended…or at least imagined in your wildest dreams. And that’s where Plastic Tofu’s new jam “Dog Tired” comes in.

A captivating concoction of colorful riffs, punchy drums, and an unmistakable bass provides the ideal backdrop for the lead vocalist’s self-assured vocals as he sings from his heart and soul, painting vivid pictures with an air of poignancy that reflects the melancholic nature of the track.

Despite the obvious melancholic theme, the instrumentation suggests otherwise; its enthralling, upbeat, and danceable nature is in brilliant contrast to the track’s sad theme…at least you get to dance to the sad nature of your life as it is, and that has to count for something.

Sincere, unfiltered, and relatable, “Dog Tired” is an ear candy, and the listener can feel the authenticity of Plastic Tofu’s emotions. Each word here is delivered with conviction, making it clear that the song is a true reflection of life and time.

The backing music video is the perfect complement to this jam both in storyline and symbolism.
