New Haven-based versatile artist Tre Moore provides you with the best escape from worldly chaos with his new album “Trending”

An artist of towering depth with a diverse view on music, Tre Moore defies the norm in the same manner he stretches the limits of the imagination. His music is a refreshingly delectable cocktail of smooth R&B, hip-hop, soul, Afrobeats, dancehall, and EDM. For him, everything goes as he does not allow himself to be limited to the kind of creative direction he can go. All this is on full display with his latest 10-track album, “Trending” which has been inspired by his personal experiences, life, love, growth, and the good and the bad times, all wrapped sincerely like personal conversations from his heart as he seeks to remind you that you are not alone…never have been. So, as you push the play button, let the music inspire, uplift, and empower you in the same manner it will entertain and captivate you.

You’ve got to appreciate the level Tre Moore goes to to ensure that there is something for everyone in this one project. As someone who loves variety in their music and can jam to basically anything that feels right, I was spoiled for choice in this album because every track appeals uniquely to me, and that’s why I am in love with each and every song here.

The way he seamlessly blends R&B and hip-hop, his velvety vocals slinking with lucidity and warmth gives this album an alluring appeal that cannot be denied by the listener. “Trending” features a soulful and evocative blend of genres, rooted in Tre Moore’s versatility and infused with the universal language of emotion. As a singer, songwriter, and producer, Tre Moore brings an unparalleled depth to the music, creating soundscapes that are both introspective and transcendent. This album here bridges the gap between R&B, Soul, hip-hop, Afro-Caribbean, and Electronic dance, resulting in a cohesive project that is richly textured and profoundly moving.

“New Channel” is a perfect case study of Tre Moore’s knack for blending infectious R&B and hip-hop. This song is bouncy, charming, and danceable throughout its length. Tre is equal to the task, riding this lively and infectious beat like a jet ski, exuding this catchy cadence that you cannot get rid of even after the song is no more. A lively, upbeat, danceable banger, “New Channel” is perfect for those moments when you feel caught up in indescribably good moods and really ideal for making out (there, I said it!)

“York St” is another one that glows as it grows. The intro is invitingly solemn as Tre Moore immediately exudes an air of vulnerability, his voice—a resonant, emotive instrument that conveys vulnerability and passion with every note. His vocal delivery here is raw and heartfelt, drawing a listener into his tender world of love. As the track progresses, I am in awe of how they inject it with those synthetic, hypnotic, minimal, crisp, syncopated percussion, infectious basslines, and spacey synth tabs that feel like flashes of strobe lights in the auditory realm, making it an irresistibly danceable crowd-pleaser that you cannot say no to, no matter how strong-willed you pride yourself to be!

“FYP” is anthemic with catchy repeated hooks that make it unforgettable, supplemented by an identifiable trap-like production that perfectly captures Tre Moore’s flexible artistic soul. This track’s inspiration revolves around insecurities in relationships encapsulated by the lines, “she’s scrolling through my photos; she’s scrolling through my videos…” Sonically speaking, this jam is the very embodiment of catchy and infectious.

Songs like “Personal” showcase Tre Moore’s ability to craft melodies that linger in the soul. It is an Afrobeats-peppered tour de force with a soulful and introspective mood and tone as Tre’s delightful vocals elevate the track to within palpable distance.

“Girls Wanna Have Fun,” featuring Kozy, is a feel-good party anthem that boosts the vibe in any setting. The catchy hook, ” She just wanna have fun,” will continue lingering in the mind as the dancehall-like beats ensure you are properly exhausted by the time the song comes to a halt.

Tre Moore is not done as he goes on to reimagine Usher’s “Yeah!” in his signature style and finesse—same energy, same crankiness, but with just a different Tre Moore’s vibe that’s as equally accessible and captivatingly infectious as the original sonic blockbuster that moved the world when it first dropped.

Climaxing in style, Tre Moore floats enchantingly over an EDM foundation with the masterpiece “Attention,” which is attractive, immersive, and delicious, to say the least. Beneath those pulsatingly atmospheric and futuristic electronic dance beats is a heavy message about wanting to be seen—your presence to be felt in the world. It captures the deeply personal emotions of someone who feels ignored and not seen by the world and people around them.

All I can say of Tre Moore’s “Trending” is wow! It lives up to the hype and achieves what it was meant to!
