San Antonio Texas-based heavy metal band TreesKillingTrees are the super heroes of their own making in new project “Super-determination”

A quartet more than determined to restore the lost purity of hardcore rock, TreesKillingTrees isn’t the only unique thing about them; this is a band that is as inimitable as it is off-kilter—excelling with a sound that balances the scales of heavy metal with the thrill of hardcore and nuances of Nu Metal. The music doesn’t just rock hard and heavy; it hits home! Tackling themes that resonate with self-fueled chaos and aggression, the highs and lows, the flashy and the cinematic and the all-too-real struggles of everyday life, TreesKillingTrees transform identifiable topics into gritty, heavy-stomped anthems that resonate long after the last note. Their driving guitar riffs, unyielding bass lines, and thunderous drumbeats create a soundscape that’s intense yet addictive, carrying the weight of their message with a force that’s impossible to ignore.

For any music fanatic lucky enough to be here, allow me to take you on TreesKillingTrees’ new ride themed “Super-determination,” an epic 5-jam ride that is as captivating as it is uncontainable. This sonic ride feels like stepping into a high-voltage rock experience that’s as cathartic as it is exhilarating. With each jam, they capture the rebellious soul of metal rock while leaving their own distinct mark on the genre—making a project that’s hard-hitting, raw, energy-pumped, and absolutely unforgettable.

The powerfully kicked drums roll with a cinematic kick right from the word go as the opener “Sundowning” captures the true essence of heavy metal thanks to that rip-roaring concoction of the vocalist’s death growls over the driving riff-peppered guitar melodies and scene-stealing bass licks that add depth and crystal clear polish to this venomous jam that roars seamlessly and determinedly like a powerful V8 engine. This track embodies TreesKillingTrees’ chemistry and bond; through the emphatic resolute of the drummer, the purposeful drive of the vocalist with his growling prowess, the bloodthirsty determination of the guitarist, and the sniper-like precision of the bassist, the band’s star power shines through!

“Loophole” is another one that does not relent on its energy and thrilling ominousness. TreesKillingTrees mean business off the bat, enveloping a listener in the track’s heaviness with the near-death growls that float commandingly over a jubilant blend of exuberant drums and insanely driving riffs and bass. The way the band surrenders every ounce of emotion here speaks volumes about their insatiate passion for their craft…this is the very embodiment of blood, sweat and tears.

The very melodious feel of the tune “Teeth People” as it builds might just about deceive you that TreesKillingTrees have decided to take a departure from their signature earsplitting metal heaviness but as the song progresses, those intense, thundery and loud drums prove that the band isn’t taking the foot off the gas, at least not today. The vocals are a strong highlight to this jam; vehemently potent and self-assured, driving with an impassioned tone over the rollicking instrumental backdrop of firm drums and assertive guitar and bass.

The epic drum, guitar and bass interplay in the jam “Kekma” allows for quite a fiery buildup that is halfway met by the growling vocals making for a track that I feel perfectly belongs to an epic franchise movie or a pay-per-view wresting event.

The gist of the last jam “RALA” has to rest on the very moments before it ends as TreesKillingTrees unleash an unrelenting force of the thundery drums and deafening guitar and bass as the undercurrent wave of riffs climax the song.

Tell you what? With “Super-determination,” you just have to be here to experience greatness explode before your ears.

Take some 17 minutes of your busy schedule and indulge in this sonic odyssey…you will forever be grateful for taking a chance on TreesKillingTrees.
