Fast-rising indie band When In May’s performance in “Silhouette” is haunting, bright, and beautiful.

The production, the energy, the delivery, the mood—absolutely everything works perfectly when each and every member of When In May gets together to create music with timeless appeal. From the dark and slow to the fast and aggressive, lush and alluring tracks that place them a cut above the rest, it’s hard not to love everything about them.  Melodious, bruising, and beautiful, When In May can actually groove with all the catharsis and energy that actually means something. This is a band that has real imagination and power, both melodious and menacing, but is interesting in all the ways that they present themselves. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be part of their trailblazing journey?

When In May recently released their debut EP, “Lying About Silly Things,” a 4-track project that has gone on to do very well and earn deserved acclaim from fans and critics of pop-rock. It has to excite you that “Silhouette” is a single off of this EP.

Well, right from the get-go, When In May immerse you into the music that feels like it is rising from the shadows. It’s like this bright flame that flickers in the dark and becomes more and more conspicuous as you get closer…in this case, as the song progresses.

The driving guitar melodies merge seamlessly with the punchy drums and bass, creating a cinematic sonic appeal as the well-nourished lead vocals make their presence felt over this unmistakably bright concoction.

What will not escape a listener is that detail in the mix that continuously haunts a listener even after the song is over. The hauntingly beautiful melody of sorts generated by the keys, I assume, was such a genius idea, and I cannot imagine this track without it. Once you listen to the tune, it is one of the standout features that cannot escape you, and it is what makes this song so undeniable.

According to When In May, “Silhouette” is a song ‘loving the idea of the person now what’s inside.’ So, as you listen through, you can probably imagine what it’s like to see the world in somebody else’s eyes.

A stunning, cinematic, and hauntingly beautiful and catchy masterpiece with infectious appeal, “Silhouette” is a must-have for anyone who loves their music. The song has over 29K streams on Spotify alone, and this should tell you why it is a good idea to add the song to your own playlist.

Follow When In May everywhere to be part of their innovative journey and let them sing their way into your heart.
