A Blazing New Hit Song, “Megadiva” by Yan J Epitomizes Latin Romantic Reggaeton and Rap

Yan J is a Young Dominican rapper, singer-songwriter, and composer who makes triumphant music influenced by Latin reggaeton, the fashionable trap sound and the more organic Hip hop style. He performs his music with unbridled gusto, providing a solid rhythmic fusion of intriguing melodies, evocative beats and rugged basslines. Built on a charismatic, intimate, and traditional arrangement that perfectly reflects the emotion of the single, “Megadiva” sees Yan J at his most versatile and genuine tapping on his lyrical dexterity to imbue the track with a rich theme of Latin romance rising to a crescendo with the gorgeous danceable beats that make up the luscious instrumentation. The subtle and shimmering percussion from the drum machines lays the perfect foundation for Yan J’s stunning vocals as they breathe true life into the exploding rhythm delivering intense hype and infectious groove of this legal menace.

Armed with all the hallmarks of the heavy Latin beats and the atmospheric deep-phased bass and pounding Hip hop 808’s, this track hits the ground running with stunning impatience with its mood-evoking quality and a beat-slapping blend of the two styles of Latin rap and reggaeton conjuring up striking shades of the original dembow rhythm that was reminiscent of the reggaeton we got accustomed to growing up. This almost feels like the beginning of a new Latin crossover era though he has still paid tribute to the original sound to fashion what feels like the beating heart of the yesteryear dragged into the original and modern Reggaeton scene and it is an absolute joy to hear.

This is a menacing and mainstream release that will set the world on fire with its textured sound that takes lead from a broad selection of styles being driven by the thunderous drum line and plenty of expressive rhythms and danceable beats breaking down into a party and club dancehall anthems that wield a brush and passionate emotions from party people to resonate towards. This hits hard and drugs you under in an instant and before you know what has hit you, you are playing the melody all over again allowing yourself to be tormented by its rich quality. The best thing about such kind of music is that they are all-encompassing and will appeal right across the masses for who in their right mind hates a mellifluous danceable tune? What a way to end the year!
