Hip-hop revolutionary YUNG MAS’ latest project “#glm” points to a brand new direction for new age rap

Armed with the work ethic of a starving orphan and seeking to prove a point no matter what, YUNG MAS is the name causing shockwaves within the larger hip-hop scope. His style is inspired by everything atypical, and he does not shy away from experimenting and bridging together various influences towards a new, untapped hip-hop sound that is just as good. Here, we are talking about the cinematic haunting, the hard-hitting gangsta, the subtly horrorcore, the introspective, and the deep, all executed over the most captivating productions you could ever think of. YUNG MAS wants you to think about hip-hop and rap in more innovative ways that are as otherworldly as they are nostalgic, and he is here to make sure that happens, one hit at a time!

Tune your hearts for this 10-track collection dubbed ‘#glm’ as YUNG MAS takes you to some uncharted spaces and makes you feel right at home. The music thrives on its element of surprise, inviting listeners to explore a soundscape that defies expectations and keeps them living for the unexpected.

For me, I love this whole project thanks to the high-end production surrendered here. The producers went above and beyond to deliver a collection worthy of fanfare. And for all the haunting pleasure that has been peppered throughout, you best believe that there is something for everyone in this collection.

With a jam like ‘raindrop (wrist hot),’ horrorcore influences are subtly woven into the track, offering an intriguing layer of complexity. The deep beats are backed by a purposeful delivery, and the impressive effects thrown in inject the song with that cinematic allure. For anyone who likes something that haunts them to death, you will find this masterpiece identifiable.

I don’t know what YUNG MAS did to make “amiri” that emotive and unforgettable, but he does, and that is all that matters. The beat is strong and one that immediately makes you amped up and ready to throw whatever it is you do when that music hits you right in the spot. This track is the very embodiment of contemporary hip-hop—deep, infectious, and banging hot…exactly what I live for in hip-hop music!

If you thought “amiri,” was deep, then “fair” comes in and you don’t think the same anymore. This is some high-end production that threatens to spill over from the speakers (especially if they are the quality ones). I can promise you that these beats will transport you to another dimension, and you will not wish to escape it as it is one of those that cannot leave your mind even after the track is no more…tell you what? There is nothing fair about this kind of sick and slick production!

There is something contemplatively deep about the jam “equinox (plug called pt. 2)” with its striking chillwave elements intriguingly integrated into this hip-hop shape for something that is as therapeutic as it is explicit. This jam makes for the perfect late-night introspective jam as you put your thoughts right and plot the next millionaire moves.

Stop whatever it is that you are doing and indulge in this rap centerpiece because it is the kind that transcends anything usual and ordinary, establishing YUNG MAS as an evolutionary who is seeking to make hip-hop music great again…in his own distinctive ways.

YUNG MAS lets his dedication and innovation take center stage, making this project a standout, even without relying on overt charisma.

Take a deep dive below, and let’s create a sonic discourse around it.
