Folk singer Zachary Campos’ latest release, “Balance” echoes with embers of love, affection, and gratitude.

Zachary Campos is an atypical artist who knows all about ‘balance;’ in his ingenious ways, he manages to create parity between the nostalgia of folk with the contemporary edge of modern-fueled lyrics, perfectly capturing the essence of the stylistic caliber of a roots sound that has existed long before he was in the picture with the poetic expression of an imaginative man who takes inspiration from the limitless scope life has adorned him. He has a way of tapping into a listener’s imagination with his vivid expressions, allowing them to envision whatever it is lucidly he is singing about. In a musical era where authenticity has been elusive, I’d say he is what the music world has been craving—someone original with unfaltering integrity and a knack for innovation!

The last time we were here, Zachary was lighting the “Candles,” in preparation for the birth of his daughter Penelope. I am happy to report that on the 9th of September, Penelope opened her tiny, pure, immaculate, uncorrupted guileless eyes to the vastly unfamiliar world, being met with the careful embrace and inexpressible glee of her parents, whose joy in welcoming her is nothing words can quantify.

Following this moment of indescribable joy and happiness, Zachary created something ineffably beautiful—a tribute to his lovely daughter and an ode to the boundlessness and awesomeness of life and the people we love that surround us. That’s how we find ourselves with the undefinably beautiful single “Balance”

Donning his ever-present ukulele, Zachary’s skilled fingerprints thoughtfully caress it, fine-tuning his way across the fretboard as the instrument responds appropriately, wailing some ear-worming, soothing, and entrancing melodies in return that provide the ideal backdrop for the poetic expression of Zachary.

Like always, he keeps it short and succinct, meaningful and emotive, tapping into the heart and soul of the listener with effortless ease and leaving them in a pensive mood as they deeply introspect about the idea that is life and how grateful it is to be alive and surrounded by all the people we love.

“Balance” is a charming folksy masterpiece with such a gentle tone and expressive lyrics backed by an equally impassioned delivery that leaves a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to be on the receiving end of this sonic gift.

Take some time to ingest this tour de force and let it warm and stir your playlist as much as your heart and soul!
