Kansas City’s own hip hop artist J. Maurice proves he is the master of his craft with an unmatched performance in the single, “Roll Wit Me”

Combining charm, cleverness, and an unequalled stage presence is the future of hip-hop music J. Maurice, based out of Kansas City, MO and who is seriously bridging the gap between the old school and the new school hip hop in ways that have demanded the attention of both the local and regional hip hop community. He makes music that is on another level…simply because he is one! With his consistency and work ethic to match, backed by a certain confidence he exudes that you can only earn, J. Maurice’s presence in the hip-hop community is now demanding the attention it deserves!

“Roll Wit Me” is one of the best performances in hip hop that I’ve heard this year! I just appreciate the way J. Maurice goes out of his way to ensure that he creates a deep connection with the listener in this masterpiece that has been on repeat ever since I first played it!

The way he comes in with some smart rhymes- sleekly and confidently switching his flows over the modest hip hop beats that posses that punch of modern rap sound and the nostalgia of old school hip hop. The unforgettable chorus in between his flows sneaks in an R&B kind of vibe that is just a joy to get lost in!

The music video is simply an inexpressibly beautiful and high-standard visual display; the artful blend of scenes with the animated characters is the best thing I’ve watched today. I acknowledge the time and effort that went into making this exceptional body of work that really makes this tune a bona fide standout that you can never get enough of!

“Roll Wit Me” is about the ingredients of life: cruising down the streets, chasing the paper, turning dreams into reality, and finding love.

Maurice’s flow is unmatched and that accompanying visual stunner is just outstanding!
