Born on Soundcloud and Infusing Hip-Hop With 00s Heartache; This Is Emo Sound Personified as Kxfi Luv Presents His Latest Album “Diaries of a Deadman Vol. 2”

As the popularity of emo-rap rises, so does Atlanta rapper, producer, engineer, and recording artist Kxfi Luv; rising to the brink of genuine superstardom and his ascension to the top feels guaranteed and he is slowly but surely being mentioned amongst A-listers whose ranks Kxfi Luv seems primed to join. Striking a chord with its tormented auto-tuned melodies and impressive melancholy moods, this is his latest album titled “Diaries of a Deadman Vol.2”; the mortal part of the title feels appropriate. He put together a 12-track collection with songs decorated with fraught, fragile, other words of knife-edge anxiety and sensitivity lyricism. He sets out to remind every listener out there that there is no shame in vulnerability and nothing to be gained from pushing your feelings down. This is an album for the fans of hip hop and traps unapologetically emotive sound – made of heartbroken anthems that tremble with trauma and the repeated poetic confrontation of mortality in some of the songs is a very huge testament of Kxfi Luv’s evident hunger and passion to build a long-lasting and boundary-busting career. And if this album is anything to go by, he is well on the right track and his resounding future will be nothing more than a colossus of metallic and granite success!

He delivers introspective lyrics atop melodic production and incorporates influences and elements from a number of styles and genres to design what is an intriguing sound design and showcases his unbridled and keen ear for arrangement and music production. The diverse collection of instrumentation used in all of the tracks has stupendous vibrant energy and melody that is out of this world! This album epitomizes mainstream sound by capturing the essence, tonality, and soundscape of the innovative emo sound. His emo emo-rap voice and that of the various artists he put on this project such as SADBOYDEX, KYU, and SpiritsHateYou project and emote the emotional lyrics being displayed flawlessly. Breathing new life into the scene through marrying dark rhythms over stellar and atmospheric production, this album is a stupendous mash-up of the emo sound with trap and hip hop elements backed by disheveled vocals.

Today, we are going to put the first two tracks on the album to the spotlight; “Devilish Boy” is the opening track that establishes the atmospheric tones and condemning lyrical themes which are accompanied by intensely robotic percussion and viscerally gripping bass tones. Spacious in an oppressive way “Devilish Boy” becomes a lyrical manifesto of one who has depleted their reserves of sympathy and love and now seeks to become a conduit of heartbreak, destruction, and hatred itself. “I’m a devilish boy, she’s a devilish girl, I can be your toy and you can be my world” forms part of the distressing chorus as the backing instrumentals selection in the song blend together perfectly in a constructively disquieting manner making good use of the deep-phased basslines and the rolling drums exploding with dark intent beneath the pounding 808’s to create a dark, ambient sound. Some of the phrases a listener will be treated to include, “I don’t want your love… I just want you dead…”
