Iowa-based metalcore band Orphic Illusion are “Out For Blood” with their latest sonic delivery!

How on earth do you describe a band as energetic, exceptional, and skilled as Orphic Illusion? There may not be enough words to fully capture this Marshalltown, Iowa-based quartet, but they infuse needle-shaking metal grit with a distinct frontier energy, combining vivid lyricism, vicious melodies, and memorable performances to captivate and addict listeners to their craft. Moreover, Orphic Illusion lets their metal flag fly while still telling the stories that first captivated their fans. As such, the band couldn’t be happier that you’ve decided to join them in their trailblazing musical mission of healing and uplifting souls, and providing solace.

“Out For Blood” is a classic-fueled, energetic, and memorable masterpiece, accompanied by a perfectly fitting music video, and it is now seeking your critical stamp of approval.

The squeaky, clean, mellow, and gentle guitar melodies set the tone, wrapping around a listener like a warm embrace as the gently punchy drums are teased. Just as you begin to marvel at this mellifluent introduction, the lead vocalist’s low-end death growls cut through the mix like a hot knife through butter. Immediately, the tone of the song changes!

The rollicking riffs, emphatic drums, and stunning bass blend seamlessly, setting the stage for Jesse Hernandez’s powerful death grunts, sung with a passion that threatens to spill out of the music.

When a band performs with such passion, it’s clear that something deep and dark motivated them. And it’s true; “Out For Blood” is inspired by the mental battles we all face—those demons we grapple with in silence. As Orphic Illusion describes, the song is “an unfiltered outpouring of rage that we can all relate to.”

At the end of the day, we are all fighting something, and when that something feels like it is exacting a toll on someone’s tolerance, perhaps listening to “Out For Blood” over a maximum volume isn’t a bad idea at all.

The action-packed music video, featuring the band fervently performing in blood-stained tees, perfectly complements the song, both in story and symbolism.

So, what are you waiting for? A person as intelligent and hardworking as you wouldn’t let such a healer pass them by, would they? Blast it loud and let nothing else matter, at least for those 4 minutes!
