Payton, a Rising Female Composer and Vocalist Based in Washington, Showcases Her Natural Charisma in the Single “Letter to My Ex.”

Gary Payton is the emerging vocal queen from Washington State who is now ready to astonish the musical world with her natural talents in singing and songwriting. Borrowing heavily from her past experiences and those of others, her music is as therapeutic as it is entertaining. She is highly motivated by matters to do with mental health, depression, heartbreak, love, and life’s events and is able to transform life experiences into captivating euphonies with a near-universal appeal so that listeners battling some of these storms may find solace in her voice and the accompaniment of the lush instrumentation.

She has a new emotional tune dubbed, “Letter to my ex”- a charming tune that is curated with addicting flows in melodicism and lyricism. We all go through a phase in life where we can’t help but reminisce on the moments we shared with our ex-lovers and especially when you thought your love was going to last forever but they in their own selfish ways broke your heart. This is a therapeutic dose to say those words which were left unsaid; it’s like finally giving yourself the closure you deserved!

Purely touching from the intro, the swing of the piano keys touches the softest pores of the heart there is an abundance of instrumentation with the synths joining in line backed beguilingly by some haunting percussion. All the while Payton lets her vocals fly over the beats as she unleashes a soulful performance in her angelic and soft voice that slinks with authority and clarity to take the message in the tune home.

For extra delight, the beats take an otherworldly form with the deep-phased bass culminating with the drums and other complex instrumentation to craft a club- R&B with Payton matching the cadence of the beats to perfection to transport a listener to another high planet! You might be a teetotaler, but the whole of this melodicism and passionate performance will literally get you high!

This is just a glimpse of what this exceptionally talented songstress can do and in the spirit of giving her the roses while she can still smell them- she is undeniably on her way to achieving superstardom.
