International hip-hop star Ty Bru is back with a new masterpiece, “Hand That Feed You” featuring Tenacious, Ghostface Killah, and Westtopher

Happy are the lyrically bold for they will dominate the realm of hip-hop. This just-made-up-now phrase is what I feel about NC legend Ty Bru, a popularly acclaimed rapper and artist who has made a name for himself as one of the most lyrically fit artists to come from the region. His critical successes are well documented, with a reputation that precedes him. Perhaps we should ask him what it feels to touch gold every time he touches the mic because he has made it a habit to always come back harder with sonic gems, going off the mantra that he is as good as his last record.

Just in time for the Thanksgiving celebrations in America, Ty Bru assembled his own Avengers for an incredible cause themed “Hand That Feed You,” featuring labelmate Tenacious, Wu-Tang’s finest Ghostface Killah, and his longtime friend and main producer Westtopher.

This production leaves nothing to be desired; it is an East Coast-inspired beat with nostalgic allure and boom-bap influences, providing the ideal backdrop for Ty Bru’s and Killah’s lyrical assault.

And it’s not just the scene-stealing production; “Hand That Feed You” is meaningful; its universal inspiration is encapsulated in that unforgettable hook, “they say don’t bite the hand that feed you but you gotta make sure that they see you because one day you know they gonna need you, expect the respect yes that’s what we do…”

The lyrically accomplished Ghostface Killah surrenders his own clear-cut and sharp-willed rhymes, elevating the track’s appeal and obviously giving it that global allure that will most definitely contribute to its universal appeal.

Ty is his customary equable and still sharp, direct, and incisive, seamlessly transitioning from one verse to the next like free-flowing water. His instinctiveness and innate consciousness make him someone you can listen to for hours non-stop.

A deserved Thanksgiving treat for all Ty’s loyal fans and new listeners alike, “Hand That Feed You” is the kind of good music we have been starving for.

Now that’s here, let us savor it copiously.
