This lyrical prodigy who goes by the stage name of Yung Hen was born in San Diego and raised in the Bay Area. He started rapping as a kid and writing his rap flows in high school. He recorded his first track in college and he has been swiftly rising up the rap roster as we are talking now, his Spotify channel boats over 3.8K monthly listeners with some deservedly acclaimed and certified singles such as; “10 Rocks”, “Let’s Get Drunk” and “Off-Balance” among many other authentic jams.
Rap is like bread and butter to him and his style of rap music draws upon the modern trap drill and the nostalgic street rap as much as the classic emo sound. Often showcasing an adroit union between rap and melody, with simple yet gratifying soundscapes, his originals reach out in poetic and deeply meaningful ways- both his lyrics and his music speak volumes on behalf of life events, and streets whilst also inspiring positivity. They also sometimes are playful and boast the quintessential hip-hop luxurious flex!
Inheriting his connection to music from his insatiable passion ever since he was young and fully indulging in the creative process and scene during his teenage years; Yung Hen has witnessed all manner of artistic waves within the ever-changing music scene. As a result, his dynamism and flexibility to adapt consistently allow him to break through with swagger and legitimacy.
He has a new summer banger dubbed, “Old McDonald”- a playful freestyle that was designed after he randomly came about some crazy remix of old Macdonald and was inspired to flow on it and he wrote down his instantaneously conceived ideas and that is how this record came to be. You can expect a show-stopper for this lyrical sniper often never misses on his targeted themes and this will be no different.
