New Music

Layer Music Project’s newest release, “Secret Garden Volume 3,” is an ethereally beautiful, spellbinding work of sonic art.

An electronic alchemist who happens to be living amongst the mortals, Layer Music Project, alias Chaiitanya Bulusu, is a rare breed of artist who merges technical intellect with emotional depth, standing at the crossroads of science, soul, and sound with a lounge-inspired style unmistakably his. His background in automation and electronic engineering gives his music a living pulse, as every modulation and sonic wave feels deliberate and calculated yet deeply human. And with synesthesia as part of his creative lens, he doesn’t just hear music; he sees it, feels it, and builds entire worlds out of color and frequency.

“Secret Garden Volume 3” is his newest release and a love letter to his growing fans. This is a bold, beautiful, ethereally captivating, and atmospherically beautiful work of art that stretches the limits of traditional and modern in unique ways. Here, he crafts immersive experiences, weaving textural layers that speak to both the body and the mind.

Most of the jams I have interacted with from this 18-track collection that spans 1 hour 4 minutes are warm, expressive, meditative flows perfect for introspection or lounge settings. I mean, this whole performance is a masterclass that very few artists can pull off convincingly—and he makes it seem effortless.

“Prologue: The Seed Whispers” is exactly as the title suggests and ushers listeners into this beautifully cinematic and grand collection. The 28-second tune serves as a prelude to the fantastical, cultural sounds and immersive, nature- and space-fueled music that follows.

“Neon Mandragora (First Uprooting)” The opener is like sound set to some soft light. It’s like soft whispers into the quiet night—ethereally beautiful, chill, haunting, and tranquil as you’d want. This song beckons to your heart and soul and is very atmospheric.

And in true artistic beauty, it is like this jam seamlessly transitions into “Blood Orchid’s Lullaby” but now with a deeper, more cinematic intent and vibe. The layered synths and picturesque effects are lounge music achieved right.

The catchy, infectious phrase “You’re listening to Layer Music Project” makes the track “The Beekeeper’s Hex” feel like a mantra or a religious incantation, making it so cathartic and healing.

“Hymn of the Chlorophyll Prophets” feels like something set in an ancient Indian tribe somewhere in the 19th century…like something that has long existed before you and your ancestors and still fills you with the fascination of magic once you listen to it. It feels like invoking an ancestral spirit or honoring something deeply ancient that means so much to the tribal people more than anyone else.

There are tracks that will undeniably soothe your soul and calm your spirits, such as “Sundew’s Kiss,” “The Forgotten Pollinator,” “Epilogue: The Silent Greenhouse,” and “Fever Blossom Choir.”

“Secret Garden Volume 3” is a prime example as to why you really cannot categorize Layer Music Project’s artistry, and if you were to do so, it wouldn’t be by genre but by intention. This third installation is living proof that he is a philosopher of rhythm, a technologist of sound seeking truth and hedonism through beat and bass using precision to sculpt emotion.

Here, color, movement, and tone are all part of the narrative.

In essence, Chaiitanya “Chatty” Bulusu is an audio visionary—a genre-defying sound artist who bridges the logical with the mystical and the cerebral with the visceral. His work resonates with those who don’t just listen to music but experience it.

“Secret Garden Volume 3” is a shining example of that exceptionally good reality he has put us in.
