Francisco Stevens who goes by the stage name Alvin Brown Beats was born on September 18, 1994, in Nosy be Hell-Ville in Madagascar. He is a French Music composer who was spotted by the A-listers in dancehall music and began to place his first instruments with recognized singers such as Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Jahyana King and even composed the single “Chill” for Popcaan’s album Fixtape in 2020 – a track which occupied a place in the Billboard.
Alvin has had quite an interesting journey in music ever since he realized that his passion lay in music. He has pursued a career out of being a DJ in college for the graduation parties and in 2012 when his family decided to move to Reunion Island and he fueled his creativity in music production by studying YouTube tutorials and researching on the internet and he then started posting his productions on Soundcloud and later on YouTube. Fast forward to the year 2017, his YouTube postings began capturing attention of most people.
It was during this year that he was approached by popular artists and he composed several tracks such as “Reckless for Eunique Octagon” for ICO, “Tapita Bora” for Sixto Rein, “Fella” for Navy Kenzo and even “Dweet So” for Jahyanai King. In 2020 Popcaan came through and together they made this groundbreaking release dubbed “F & F” which exemplifies prodigious production.
There is no debating that Alvin Brown Beats is a matchless producer and ‘F & F” is a stunningly intricate and superbly arranged track with lots going on but it doesn’t feel busy or cluttered at all. There is an impressive blend of elements, from the opening piano up to 0:19 where the absolutely fantastic deep instruments are introduced. The synths sit well in the mix; there is a glamorous bass line and wonderful motion and an impeccable warm tone that blends the lines of hip-hop and dancehall.
